The town of Parksville is located on Vancouver Island, 20 minutes north of Nanaimo, and 2 hours north of Victoria.  It is easily accessible by excellent highways.  There is scheduled air service to Victoria and to Nanaimo, Comox/Courtney and Qualicum, or just rent a car on the mainland and take the ferry.  You may see sea lions, seals and killer whales en route!

By Ferry from Vancouver (Airport or City Centre):
There are two spectacular ferry routes that go to Nanaimo, the Tsawwassen Ferry and the Horseshoe Bay ferry.  They both arrive at Nanaimo, though at different terminals.  The Tsawwassen Ferry is the easiest route, particularly if you are flying to Vancouver International Airport.  It takes about 30 minutes to drive from the airport to the ferry terminal.  At the terminal, choose the Tsawwassen - Duke Point ferry.  The crossing takes approximately 2 hours and there are sailings approximately every two hours.

From downtown Vancouver you can cross the Lions Gate Bridge and drive to Horseshoe Bay for the ferry to Nanaimo (Departure Bay).  The ferries also leave approximately every two hours and the crossing takes 90 minutes.

At peak times,
reservations are advised for the ferries.  For sailing times and reservations go to www.bcferries.bc.ca.  From either terminal, travel north on the Trans-Canada Hwy 1 (BC Hwy 19) and follow the directions below.

By Air:
A number of major airlines service Victoria and Vancouver from Western Canada and the US.  Service to Nanaimo, and two small airports close to Parksville, located at Comox/Courtney 40 min north), and Qualicum (20 minutes north), is provided by Air Canada, Air BC, KD Air, West Jet, and Pacific Coast Airlines.  Check low fares on
Jet Blue and West Jet.  Car rentals are available at all airports.

If you are coming from the ferry terminals, then head North on the Trans-Canada Hwy 1 (also labeled BC Hwy 19) to Parksville.  In 20 minutes look for Hwy 19A to Parksville and Rathtrevor Beach Park.  There is a large sign advertising Parksville beaches (as seen on the "About" webpage).  Next turn right on Resort Way and follow along as the road bends to the left.  You will pass signs for several resorts.  The last is Beach Acres.  Just past the large Beach Acres sign, turn left into Oceanside Village Resort. The main office is on your left where you can pick up keys.  The cottage is number 115, 30 meters further down the road from the main office, opposite the indoor swimming pool and fitness center.
